Annapurna Base Camp Trekking is one of the outstanding moderate nature trekking trails. This trail attracts view of snow-capped peaks of great Himalayas such as Annapurna-I(8091m),Annapurna-II(7937m), Annapurna-III (7555m),Dhaulagiri(8167m), Machhapuchhre (6998m), and Annapurna; scenic river banks; picturesque forest valley and Hindu and Buddhists temples along with the combination of culturally rich traditional villages of ethnic communities of the Magar, Gurung, Ghale, and Thakali and their hospitality. Heartfelt affection of indigenous people, scenic beauty, terraced landscape, snow-capped mountains, flora and fauna and religious sites make the trek a memorable lifetime experience.
DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN KATHMANDU
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our Blue Bird representative and driver will meet you at the Tribhuvan International Airport and escort you to your designated hotel. The representative will help you to check into your hotel. In the hotel, you will be briefed about your daily activities during the trek.
DAY 02: SIGHTSEEING IN KATHMANDU
Kathmandu valley is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The valley offers you a wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence. In the morning, after breakfast, you will be guided to visit renowned and one of the largest Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, Bouddha Stupa, Swoyambhunath. After lunch, you will be visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square.
DAY 03: FLY/DRIVE TO POKHARA AND DRIVE TO PHEDI, TREK TO DHAMPUS[1700M]
This day will mark the beginning of your trek. For this, in the early morning, after having breakfast you will be driven to Pokhara city, 200 km west from Kathmandu. It takes 5-6 hours on a tourist vehicle or you can take a flight as well. We will be passing through beautiful forests, deep gorges and Nepali villages on our way to the destination. Upon arrival in Pokhara we will take a short 1-hour drive to Phedi where the trek starts. After 2 hours of hiking we will reach Dhampus.
DAY 4: TREK TO LANDRUK[1550M]
You can have your first glance of snow-capped mountains from Dhampus with the early morning sunrise. After breakfast, we will head towards Pothana which offers splendid view of Mt. Machhapuchhre and other mountains. Walking through farmlands of villages and forests, we will eventually reach Landrung and you will be accommodated at local teahouse.
DAY 05 : TREK TO CHOMRONG [2100M]
From Landrung, you will march along the mountainous path of stone steps, pass through a hamlet, cross a suspension bridge and then come across a dense forest of bamboos. Your trek will not stop here. After trekking for a while, you will approach teahouses at Jhinu where you can rest and enjoy a drink or snacks. Thereafter, you will resume your trek to the north, descending Daaulu and after walking for five hours you will reach Chomrong which is the best place to observe the prominent and mesmerizing view of Machhapuchhre.
DAY 06: TREK TO HIMALAYA HOTEL[2850]
Today you will have to first go downhill to the river called Chomrong and then uphill to Khudi-ghar. Hiking through dense bamboo forest and rhododendron bushes, amazing landscapes, and the Annapurna Himalaya range, the trail will take you to your final destination of the day, i.e., Himalaya Hotel.
DAY 07: A DAY FOR REST
After continuous trek of four days, today is the rest day. You will spend your entire day taking complete rest, contemplating and planning for upcoming trips and getting habituated to your trekking destinations.
DAY 08: TREK TO MACHHAPUCHHRE BASE CAMP[3700M]
After breakfast, your day will start climbing the route onwards Himalaya Hotel (2840m). On the way you can explore the Hindu cave. After lunch, the trail will continue to the Machhapuchhre Base Camp for overnight stay where you can have the closest glimpse of the Machhapuchhre along with Annapurna-I and Gangapurna.
DAY 09: TREK TO ANNAPURNA SOUTH BASE CAMP[4130]
This day you be descending through a small ridge branching out from the mountain pass to mountainside with widespread terraced fields showcasing tranquil meadows and lush fertile farming lands.
As soon as you reach Annapurna South Base Camp, you will witness awesome picturesque landscapes, majestic panoramic view of snow-capped mountainous peaks and varied Himalayan cultural settings tucked beneath the southern slopes of the Annapurna massif.
DAY 10: TREK TO CHOMRONG[2100M]
Upon discovering the Annapurna South Base Camp, today you will head towards Ghandruk by passing the dense forest of mixed plant life, cultivated lands, and grasslands. After 5 hours of walk, you will be at Ghandruk where you can capture the pictures of majestic great Himalaya range of Annapurna region.
DAY 11: TREK TO GHANDRUK[1940M]
This day you must trek up to Banthali by walking around for 3 – 4 hours. This trail offers you the similar kind of objects to see and observe as you saw during the previous days of trek i.e. forests, landscapes, and sights of great Himalaya range. You will reach Banthali via Tadapani which is the vantage point to glimpse heavenly sight of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapauchhre, and Dhaulagiri etc.
DAY 12: TREK TO BANTHANTI[2410M]
Leaving the terraced fields of Ghandruk, we will move on a path of a steep slope.As you ascend,
you will pass through the dense rhododendron forest to Tadapani which is an ideal vantage point to view heavenly sight of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre. Then, 3 hours of walk will finally take you to Banthanti.
DAY 13: TREK TO GHOREPANI[2880M]
Today, you will be proceeding ahead to explore the exotic sights of majestic snow-capped Annapurna Himalaya range, forests, beautiful landscapes, cultivated fields and rich flora and fauna. Continued walking for 3 hours will lead you to Ghorepani which is considered to be one the best tourist spot. Here, you will be accommodated at the local teahouse.
DAY 14: TREK TO NAYAPUL, DRIVE TO POKHARA
After enjoying the mesmerizing sights of Dhaulagiri and other popular Annapurna Himalaya range, you will leave Ghorepani and walk ahead to Nayapul where you will be picked up by vehicle to transfer to Pokhara. The driver will take about 1 hour to reach the downtown city.
DAY 15: FLY/ DRIVE TO KATHMANDU
After breakfast, you will be either driven to the Pokhara airport to take a flight to Kathmandu or will be driven to Kathmandu via tourist vehicle. The entire day in the capital is free for some shopping and relaxation.
DAY 16: DEPART KATHMANDU
After checking out of the hotel, our representative will take you to the international airport for your flight home.
