Ghorepani, Poonhill
Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking is commonly known as the small Annapurna Circuit Trek is one of the most famous trekking destinations lying in Myagdi district of western Nepal. Popular for its easy trekking trail, this trail offers magnificent views of Himalaya ranges such as Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m) and Mt. AnnapurnaI(8091m)Machhapuchhre,Gangapurna,Lamjung Himal, Barasikhar, Mt.Nilgiri South, Mt.Tukuche, Mt.Dhampus and Mt.Hiuchuli.Trekkers can enjoy from scenic riverbanks; picturesque forest valleys; diverse flora and fauna; Hindu and Buddhist temples; to attractive traditional villages of ethnic communities of the Magar, Gurung, Ghale, and Thakali. In addition, the trail boasts of hot spring which is located in the bank of Kaligandaki River.
DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN KATHMANDU(1345M)
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our representative and driver will meet you at the Tribhuvan International Airport and escort you to your designated hotel. The representative will help you to check into your hotel. In the hotel, you will be briefed about your daily activities during the trek.
DAY 02: SIGHTSEEING AROUND KATHMANDU VALLEY
Kathmandu valley is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The valley offers you a wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence. In the morning, after breakfast, you will be guided to visit renowned and one of the largest Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, Bouddha Stupa, Swoyambhunath. After lunch, you will be visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square.
DAY 03: KATHMANDU-POKHARA AND HALF DAY SIGHTSEEING
This day, in the early morning, after having breakfast you will be driven to Pokhara city, 200 km west from Kathmandu. It takes 5-6 hours on a tourist vehicle or you can take a flight as well. We will be passing through beautiful forests, deep gorges and Nepali villages on our way to the destination. Once you reach Pokhara you will be taken to various sites like Fewa lake where you can do boating to go Barahi temple, devis falls, Bindebashini temple, international mountain museum.
DAY 04: DRIVE TO NAYAPUL(1010M)-TIKHEDHUNGA(1570M)
This day will mark the beginning of your trek. The trek will start from Nayapul, which is about 1 hour drive away from Pokhara in a private vehicle. Upon reaching Nayapul, you will be walking for tentatively 20 minutes along the banks of the Modi Khola and reach Birethanti (1015m), a large village housing many shops and teahouses. The trail then continues throughvalley of Hille crossing the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola and ultimately we will end the journey for the day in Tikhedhunga (1570m).
DAY 05: TREK TO GHOREPANI(2840M)
Today you will ascend the path that leads Bhurungdi Khola andUlleri village to Ghorepani. The name Ghorepani in Nepali means "horse-water" owing to its role as an important campsite for traders before it became a trekker's stop. Ghorepani has been fascinating tourists and trekkers with its small shops and stalls selling local products and crafts.
DAY 06: HIKE UP TO POONHILL (3210M)-TADAPANI(2610M)
Poon Hill is famous for its ideal location to view sunrise. Once you witness the mesmerizing view of sunrise at Poon Hill, you will have breakfast and then descend to Tatopani crossing the rhododendron forests amidst the awe-inspiring view of Dhaulagiri range. This path then leads through terraced fields to Sikha, a Magar village in Kaligandaki.
DAY 07: TREK TO GHANDRUK(1940M)
Leaving Tadapani, you will trail along terraced fields beneath the splendid panorama of glaciated Himalayan mountain ranges i.e. Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Annapurna-III, Machhapuchhre and Hiunchuli with warmth and sincere hospitality of locals at Ghandruk Village. Ghandruk is famous for catering to the requirements of all trekkers’ who hit the trail through this route.
DAY 08: TREK TO NAYAPUL(1010M) DRIVE TO POKHARA
The day marks the end of the trek. This day you will trek towards Nayapul to catch the vehicle to go backto Pokhara. While moving forward to Nayapul from Ghandruk, you can see beautiful forests, hills, Himalayas, rivers etc.
DAY 09: DRIVE TO CHITWAN
After breakfast, you will be either driven to the Chitwan which takes around 5/6 hours. On arrival you will check into the resort / jungle camp followed by welcome drink and briefing about the jungle activities. After lunch you can proceed for exploring nearby local villages and sunset view. Dinner and overnight will be at jungle camp /resort.
DAY 10: WILDLIFE ACTIVITIES AT CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK
The day starts with nature walk and bird watching tour. After breakfast, you will proceed for jungle safari on Elephant back to see different species of deer, Royal Bengal Tiger, rare one horned rhinoceros, wild boar, leopard, monkeys, birds and many other small animals. After elephant back safari tour you will proceed for Dugout Canoe Ride in Dungre / Rapti River to see 2 types of rare species of crocodile - the marsh mugger and the fish eating Gharial. You will then visit elephant breeding farm & drive back to the lodge. Late afternoon village walk will be organized in the nearby Tharu village.
DAY 11: DRIVE TO KATHMANDU AND FREE TIME
After having breakfast, you will be driven to Kathmandu city. Once you get Kathmandu, you will have free time for shopping, relaxation etc.
DAY 12: DEPART KATHMANDU
After Breakfast our representative will assist you to international airport for onward flight.
